Seminar 1.0 | Emerging Cybersecurity Threats

Hyderabad Institute for Technology and Management Sciences (HITMS) successfully hosted Seminar 1.0 titled “Emerging Cybersecurity Threats: Mapping the Unknown” on December 18, 2025, at the HITMS Auditorium. The seminar was conducted from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM and attracted active participation from students and faculty members.

The keynote speaker for the seminar was Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Memon, Professor at the University of East London, United Kingdom. Dr. Memon delivered an insightful session on emerging cybersecurity challenges, evolving threat landscapes, and the importance of preparedness in an increasingly digital world. The seminar also featured an engaging Question & Answer session, allowing students to interact directly with the speaker and gain practical insights.

The event was honored by the presence of Rector Prof. Dr. Saeeduddin Shaikh, Registrar Prof. Dr. Iqleem Haider Taqvi, Academic Head of Computer Science and Related Studies Dr. Zahoor Hussain Shah, and Deputy Director Student Affairs Mr. Rashid Ali Rao, along with esteemed faculty members and students.

The seminar served as a valuable learning opportunity, enhancing awareness of cybersecurity risks and encouraging students to explore advanced knowledge and careers in the field of cybersecurity.
