Hyderabad Institute for Technology and Management Sciences successfully convened its 2nd Academic Council Meeting

Hyderabad Institute for Technology and Management Sciences successfully convened its 2nd Academic Council Meeting under the chairmanship of the Worthy Rector, Prof. Dr. Saeeduddin Shaikh. The meeting was held to deliberate upon important academic and institutional matters in line with the institute’s commitment to academic excellence, quality enhancement, and institutional development.

The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Prof. Dr. Iqleem Haider Taqvi, Registrar of HITMS, who served as Secretary to the Academic Council, while Dr. Zahoor Hussain Shah, Dean FCET and Academic Head, presented the academic agenda before the honorable members of the council.

During the session, the Academic Council considered and approved various academic matters, curriculum frameworks, institutional policies, and the introduction of new undergraduate programs in emerging and multidisciplinary fields.

The meeting was attended by distinguished external members, including Prof. Dr. Ali Raza Jaffri from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Dr. Naseem from Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Dr. Zafar Siddique from Isra University, and Prof. Dr. Mubashir Khan from NED University of Engineering and Technology, who also participated online.

The internal members included Prof. Dr. Iqleem Haider Taqvi , Registrar;Dr. Zahoor Hussain Shah, Dean FCET and Academic Head; Mr. Shahbaz, Assistant Controller of Examinations; Mr. Rizwan Hussain, D.D CMS; Mr. Rashid Rao from the Library Department; and Miss Rashida, Co-opted Member and Program Coordinator for Computer Science. Mr. Mukhtiar Rajput, Director Finance, also attended the meeting online.

The successful conduct of the 2nd Academic Council Meeting reflects the continued commitment of HITMS towards strengthening academic standards, fostering innovation, and advancing quality higher education in the region.
